Location and Timing
The entire conference will be taking place within Ryerson’s Student Learning Centre. The address of the building is 341 Yonge Street —a Google maps link is available via the button below.
The building is a 3 minute walk from Dundas subway station. For those who wish to drive the best place to park is the Green P parking structure on Victoria st. north of Dundas.
Please arrive at 9:00 AM on Saturday for registration, we would like to start the opening ceremonies at 9:30 AM. Registration and opening ceremonies will take place in room POD 358, which can be reached by walking up the stairs at the rear of the SLC, and walking one flight up the stairs through the Library. Signage will be posted before the conference, and staff will help direct delegates to their committee rooms .

Personal Privacy and National Security in the Information Age: ECOSOC General Assembly
Delegates in the ECOSOC committee will discuss the complex nature of Personal Privacy and National Security in the Information Age. The committee will help create guidelines for nations wanting to develop legislation on Data Privacy. Focusing on the topics of protecting citizens right during the big data explosion, and the government responsibility over data collected on citizens.
Parliamentary Committee on the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union - Brexit Specialized Agency
Delegates in this SA will be tasked with guiding the United Kingdom out of the European Union. Boris Johnson has decided to form a last-minute multi-party committee as a last ditch effort to prevent the dreaded crash out of the Eurozone, with the hopes that the MPs will be able to reach some agreement on the rights of EU citizens in the UK and prevent chaos at the Irish border. Delegates in this committee will have to represent their party and their constituency, while also considering the best interest for the British public in this turbulent era.

Please note that we will be adopting the rules of McMUN 2018. A copy of the rules can be found via the button below.
All delegates must submit a position paper by 11:59 PM on October 18th. The paper should outline the delegate’s stance on the issues at hand as well as mention some of the goals they would like to achieve in the committee. The paper does not need to be any longer than one page.

Delegates will be having committee dinners together after debate, and then reuniting for drinks afterwards downtown!
